MDS participates in a recycling program. We use a local service called TRI- Recycling to pick up our used paper, aluminum, glass, and plastic once a month. In one month alone, MDS Advertising recycles: This makes our monthly total of recycled material 975 lbs. We save the equivalent of: Why is recycling important? How does it work? Recyclable products are taken to the factory and broken down into raw materials. Paper is mixed with water to create what is called “slurry”, metal is melted down by heat and plastic is ground and cleaned. These raw materials are then transported to manufacturers to create new products. What can you do?
